2024 marks a new evolution for Provenance, with the collective fully releasing its label roots and embracing its current form as a community of likeminded artists rather than a vehicle for traditional releases.

This new compilation, Marks of Provenance VII, showcases samples of work from the collective both released and unreleased, including two cuts from Arrom’s new 18-track full-length album DREAMTHINGS, an early demo of Lazy Suzan from Imogen Cygler’s critically acclaimed 2023 LP Sometimes Strangers, and exclusive new work from Shoeb Ahmad, Aphir, Happy Axe, ROMÆO, Ashleigh Hazel, Sebastian Field and Moss Girl.

True to the original creative mission of Provenance, each track on the compilation demonstrates the artists’ commitment to pushing the boundaries of texture, structure, genre, or all of the above.

All the artists on Provenance can speak to having felt nourishment from sharing their music in face-to-face contexts, and you can expect to see Provenance artists live on stage more often throughout the coming year.

All profits from this compilation will be donated to Anera, to assist in their efforts to rehabilitate refugees from Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon (www.anera.org).
